Hello! I am Nusrat, and I am originally from Bangladesh but currently living in Japan. I am studying Masters here. Apart from being a researcher in Biological Science, I have always had a deep passion for my native language. I truly enjoy sharing the beauty of my language and culture with others. Besides, I am also fluent in English, so do not get terrified, it will be fun to learn.
As a tutor, my approach is friendly, patient and flexible. I focus on helping learners feel comfortable while improving their communication skills. Whether you are starting from zero, preparing for exams or just want to practice speaking, I will adapt the lessons to your needs. I will provide you the PDF files of Bengali alphabets, multiple words with meaning, those we use in our daily conversation. After learning these basic things, later we will practice make sentence and Bengali paragraph writing by expressing your own thoughts.
I have a child who goes to Japanese kindergarten, but he is fluent in Bengali as I speak to him in Bengali at home. So no worries, language is all about practice. Let's begin a joyful journey of learning together!
Compared to the Japanese and English, Bengali is not practicing in daily life by children in Tokyo. So they do not have much exposure or connection to this language. But, learning Bengali is not much that difficult, because English and Bengali language has more or less similar sentence making patterns.
With regular lessons and consistent practice, beginners can start having simple conversations in about 3-4 months. To reach fluency, it may take about 1 year or less time, especially since Bengali is not commonly spoken in Tokyo's daily activities.
