Hello, I am half French half Lebanese and I have a bachelor's degree in translation, I speak 4 languages, French, English, Arabic, (classic and Lebanese dialect), as well as Spanish. I also have a masters degree in audiovisual and media communications.
What I offer here is to learn one of these languages, from scratch. I provide lively and fun methods to learn the languages, at your convenience. I can adapt to your needs and level and can easily communicate with you if you happen to speak the other 3 languages mentioned.
Learning Lebanese is quite an advantage, as it is a dialect that is very close to standard arabic but that has many influences (French, English, Turkish, Spanish, Italian etc...), it will enable you to learn fast and to speak to and be understood by arabic speakers (from all dialects).
I also have a teaching experience in a NGO for 4 years where I taught people of all ages and backgrounds.
If your language is a latin one, learning French can be easy for you. The real work will be around pronunciation, structure and tone, in order to make it useful for your daily use.
The time it takes to learn French in Toulouse depends on several factors, such as your current level, the intensity of your studies, and your immersion in the language. Here’s a general guideline based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):
Beginner to A2 (Basic Conversational): About 3 to 6 months with intensive courses (20+ hours per week) and daily practice.
A2 to B1 (Independent Speaker): 6 months to 1 year, especially if you engage in conversations and real-life practice.
B1 to B2 (Fluency in Most Situations): 1 to 2 years, depending on your exposure and practice.
C1 to C2 (Full Professional or Native-Like Proficiency): 2+ years, requiring deep immersion, professional use, and cultural understanding.
