My name is Muhydeen Abdulrasheed Akorede. I am an Arabic teacher, poet, and philosophy student at the University of Lagos. Since 2021, I have been teaching Arabic to learners of different levels, from Qur’anic recitation to everyday conversation.
I studied at Markazu-l-Haqq where I graduated in 2023, specializing in Arabic grammar and Islamic sciences. I am fluent in Arabic and English, and I also work as a translator between the two languages.
For me, Arabic is more than just a language — it is a world of culture, wisdom, and beauty. That is why I also write Arabic philosophical poetry, exploring life, existence, and meaning. My goal as a teacher is to make Arabic clear, inspiring, and useful for each student, whether they want to understand the Qur’an, improve conversation, or explore deeper ideas.
The easiest way to learn Arabic is to begin with the alphabet and sounds until they become natural, then move to simple words and short sentences. Listen to native speakers, repeat daily, and practice aloud so your tongue adapts. Don’t rush into deep grammar—start small and build gradually. Consistency is more important than long hours; even twenty minutes every day is powerful. Surround yourself with Arabic through Qur’an recitation, songs, or short videos, and try to think in Arabic, even with basic phrases. Most importantly, learn with a teacher or partner so mistakes become lessons, not barriers.
