Native Arabic Tutor in Hong Kong

Private Arabic Tutor in Hong Kong and Online

Hey there! I’m Dhahi (ضاحي), pronounced DA-hee.
I’m a native Arabic speaker from the Levant, home of great food, warm people, and one of the most beautiful (and, let's be honest, sexiest) dialects of Arabic.

In the past 5 years, I’ve taught Arabic to many of my foreign friends, and I’d love to add you to that list, as both a new friend and mentee!

So, why Arabic?
Check out this video I made: https://youtu.be/7zZuOPov1Ho
Well, apart from being spoken by over 500 million people across 22 countries, being one of the UN’s official languages, and being the language of poetry, history, and literature, it’s also the language of Islam and the Quran. Oh, and let’s not forget, it’s the language of Dubai! Can you imagine how many “habibis” you’ll win over just by learning a few words?!!

Whether you’re learning for travel, curiosity, love, or a deeper understanding of Islam, I’ve got you covered. I’ll help you speak naturally, confidently, and impressively.

Heading to Dubai, Makkah (Hajj), Egypt, Lebanon, or Morocco? Arabic will be your best travel buddy.
I teach over five dialects, including Modern Standard Arabic, Levantine (Syrian and Lebanese), Egyptian, Khaleeji (Dubai and the Arabian Gulf), and more!

And if you’re a total beginner who thinks Arabic is too hard, well, you just need the right guide who'll make everything simpler and much more enjoyable (hi, that’s me).

I currently work as an Arabic language consultant in Hong Kong and have a deep love for Arabic poetry. I've been speaking this language for the past 18 years of my life on a daily basis, and have delved really deep into its most abstract, poetic, and academic sides. I genuinely love this language, and would love to share this passion with you!

Our first hour together is free!
It’s an easy introduction to the language, where I’ll get to know your goals and build a personalized learning plan that actually fits you.

Can't wait to meet you!!

Frequently Asked Questions

How easy is it to learn Arabic in Hong Kong?

That really depends on what you want from the language. If your goal is to learn conversational Arabic or Modern Standard Arabic, it’s actually quite doable.

The great thing about Arabic is that once you start recognizing its patterns and structure, it becomes much easier and even fun to learn. With the right guidance and consistent practice, you’ll find yourself picking it up faster than you’d expect.

Whether it's easy or not relatively comes down to you, your motivation, and your mother tongue. Arabic has a mix of beautiful tones and unique letters like (ض), (ظ), (ح), and (ق). For some learners, these sounds feel natural after a few tries, while for others, they might take a little extra time. But that’s completely fine, because every learner finds their own rhythm.

So rest assured, as I will be with you in every step of the journey providing guidance and support!

Is it difficult to learn Arabic in Hong Kong?

Arabic is often called one of the hardest languages in the world, but I’d describe it as challenging in a nice way, not hard, just rich and rigorous. It’s a language full of beauty, rhythm, and history.

How difficult it feels really depends on what you want from it. If you’re trying to read classical poetry, the Quran, or dive deep into grammar, it will take more focus and time, but the process is incredibly rewarding. If your aim is to communicate and connect with Arabic speakers, that part is much simpler and very enjoyable!

What makes Arabic exciting is that every bit of progress feels like a real achievement. With patience, curiosity, and regular practice, you’ll notice your skills growing steadily.

I think one of the biggest challenges for you as an Arabic learner in Hong Kong is actually finding a good native Arabic tutor, but since you’re here, you’ve already overcome that part!
