I am a native Amharic speaker from Ethiopia with a strong background in language instruction and communication. I am passionate about helping students from all over the world learn Amharic in a simple, practical, and engaging way. Whether you are a complete beginner or want to improve your speaking, reading, or writing skills, I design lessons tailored to your level and goals.
My teaching approach focuses on real-life communication, pronunciation, and cultural understanding. I use interactive methods including conversation practice, structured lessons, and customized materials such as PDFs, exercises, and guided dialogues. Lessons are conducted online via Zoom or Google Meet, making it convenient and flexible for students worldwide.
Learning Amharic can be enjoyable and rewarding with the right guidance. I simplify complex grammar and help students build confidence step by step. Many learners find Amharic unique due to its script, but with consistent practice and the right support, progress becomes fast and motivating.
Amharic can be challenging at first because it uses its own alphabet (Ge’ez script), but it becomes easier once you understand the system. With proper guidance, consistent practice, and a structured approach, learners can quickly start forming sentences and communicating in everyday situations.
The time it takes to learn Amharic depends on your goals and consistency. For basic conversation, most students can see progress within a few weeks and communicate at a beginner level in 2–3 months with regular practice. Achieving fluency may take several months to a year. Since I teach online, students in Atlanta or anywhere else can learn at their own pace with flexible scheduling.
