Hello, my name is Phuong Dung.
I am a Vietnamese teacher with 14 years of experience. I am based in Hanoi, Vietnam. I speak Nothern, Hanoian accent.
I teach both formal and colloquial Vietnamese.
I create individualized teaching plans and materials.
I encourage listening and speaking practice adapted to the individual’s level, interests, and learning goals.
I lived and studied overseas for 8 years, so I am familiar with the Western way of thinking and learning.
Flexible class schedule.
Like any other language, Vietnamese has easy and difficult areas. Grammar and vocabulary are not as difficult as German or French. The most difficult area that many learners find is pronunciation. Vietnamese is a tonal language so for some learners (not from a tonal language background) might find is difficult. I personally think that if a learner dedicates their time and effort in learning the language, Vietnamese is not a difficult language to learn.
t depends on what the learner's goals are. If they just want basic Vietnamese, just daily conversation, then it would take less time than say someone wants to be fluent in the language. I would say minimum 6 months.
