I am from Colombia, Spanish is my native language. I am social areas professional, I have written some Spanish articles, and I have a wide Spanish grammar and vocabulary. From my personal experience, I know how to develop your speaking, reading and writing skills following a simple and comprehensive methodology.
We will be using different tools to practice, all of them can be adjusted according to your needs and interest.
Reading correctly is the first step to speaking, and of course, if you read you can write. From my experience, I know that speaking and reading correctly go hand in hand. When you travel to countries that speak another language it is important that you know how to read a sign, a warning, a menu, ... Learning to speak can be done while reading, and it is very easy to do both. It is not necessary to have separate lessons when you can practice both skills at the same time, it is faster and better. For now, Zoom is the best option for having Spanish lessons.
Spanish has many grammatical constructions similar to English, which will be known as you learn, but it usually has more verbal ways and more words to express an idea. It also uses differentiated modes to refer to the female and male gender, which can be more complicated for those who speak English, but with practice, you can easily learn.
No, I think it is very easy since there is a high presence of Spanish speakers, that is an important resource available. In addition, there is the open-mindedness of the people who live in this city and their appreciation for other cultures and languages.
