I have spoken Shona since I was a baby, its the language we speak at home, then I went to primary school where we spoke both English and Shona and Shona was also a subject we learnt in school since I grew up in Harare and Harare is part of Mashonaland. Secondary school I also studied Shona as a subject. I went to high school for my Advanced level and Shona was among the three subjects I studied in high school. I have experience teaching Shona as I tutored for an online school through Zoom meetings to students of different ages around the world from beginners, intermediate to advanced levels. I have students that I have taught from the Shona alphabet until we could have a conversation in Shona..If you want to speak Shona like a native, I am your plug. 😊
