I am a university student studying abroad in London. I was born in Wimbledon, London, and moved to Japan when I was 9.
Native in both English and Japanese, and a bit of French.
I go to the University of Waseda (ranking 3rd in Japan), studying International Relations and Media for my degree.
I have 2 years of experience in teaching
- Teaching English to 4 children and 2 adults
- Grammar/Conversation/Essay Writing/Phonics
Due to my background, I have developed high adaptation skills, and I can teach not only through facts, but teach through anecdotes and experiences so that your knowledge is not a temporary thing.
Furthermore, as I am adept at translating Japanese and English, I will be able to explain Japanese to you as if it were English.
We will use textbooks to learn Japanese characters and phonetics.
We will then start off by learning short phrases, and try and converse using Japanese.
I will teach you with a native tongue and help you with pronunciation and reading/writing.
I think Japanese is not too easy of a language to learn, but once you have mastered the first set of characters, you can technically speak japanese. After that, it is a matter of learning phrases and words and the grammar which connects these, which can be learnt with experience.
