I have never taught Hokkien before, but I have spoken this language since I was a kid. Hokkien is simple once you get used to the intonations. It has more intonation than Mandarin. Different intonations of the ‘same’ word become a different word altogether. I speak Hokkien with my son at home. Learning Hokkien is fun. I can also speak English, Mandarin, Malay, Hokkien, Cantonese, Russian, Japanese, and a bit of Thai. My time is flexible as I work from home. I’m available on weekdays and weekends.
