Hi, it's Laura. How are you?
For my background! I am a full-time French tutor and French native speaker who has been living in Sydney for 7 years now. I work with various private French and tutoring schools and for myself, I speak fluently French, English and Creole (can send you self-intro videos in these languages if needed). I have students of all ages from 12 years old and levels, no matter their reason for learning French (good school grades, HSC, IBDP, DELF, DALF, Travel, fun, Immigration etc) but I am specialised in IB and expatriation. I use professional materials and books following the CEFR levels (The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). The sessions' content and methodology vary depending on the students' levels, their ages, curriculum/goals and interests. I offer conversational practice sessions too and "french café or restaurant" activities. I translate news articles with some advanced students. If you want to become fluent in French and expatriate yourself as I did, you found your coach! I can also focus on specific real practical skills as required (prepare for a professional interview for example).
The French tutoring sessions I provide are delivered online by a video teleconference platform such as Zoom. This allows me to provide higher quality lessons at a more affordable price as no travelling is required.
Each French tutoring session includes the following:
- Personalised French lessons and content for your level and interests
- Study material provided
- Homework for you practice in your own time (optional)
- Access to your document online containing notes after each lesson to help you improve
- Recordings of our session for you to keep so you can refer back to our sessions at any time. This is great for practising pronunciation!
Each hour of personalised French tutoring is $50 but only $45 for my students who pay for 10 or more hours of sessions in advance. Most of my students take one 1 hour lesson per week. However, if you wanted to improve faster, we could arrange for more lessons per week or even have a longer session once per week.
If you are interested in the discounted 10hrs pack but don't want to commit to it on your first lesson, you can upgrade after and I will refund the discount amount on your first lesson.
When would you like to start? What are your available time slots (you can give me 5 at least from Monday to Saturday from 8 am up to 7:30 pm).
Cheers
Laura

Learning a language requires consistency. Learning French is easy and fun if you are consistent and motivated.
With one regular session per week, if you are really motivated, serious with your homework and revision, if you are consistent and you start from scratch, you can reach level A2 up to B1 within a year. If you start from level A2 you can reach B2 within a year.
With two regular sessions per week + homework, revision, conversation practices) the limits are endless and you can reach C1/C2 within a year.
