Tagalog is a regional dialect that is very close to Filipino, and therefore very commonly used by a large percentage of the population. It is to learn Filipino while you are in Manila. You can learn from the food, culture, videos, and visuals. It will take you around 150-200 hours to learn basic Filipino. That includes memorizing basic Filipino words, learning how they’re used in a sentence, and having a practice session with a native speaker.
The easiest way to learn Filipino is by means of showing the Filipino culture through music, images, and videos.
