My estimation is that in a week you can be able to learn asking questions like "what" & "where" in the Filipino term.
Half a month you can be able to understand a bit.
In a month you can be able to make small talk.
After 2 months I believe you can be able to make good conversations.

So that's my estimation if you start from scratch.
It also depends to who's your teacher is.
