Baker - English tutor from England

I’m very passionate about languages and learning. For the past year, I have been learning Spanish and Portuguese through travel and I have loved every step of the way. I also learned Arabic when I was younger and the experience from all three allows me to understand the learning process when approaching a new language.

My aim is to first inspire a passion for learning, and then to lead students along the path to understanding the inner workings of language so that they can develop their own ‘English mind’ and soon be communicating fluidly!

I’m a native English tutor from England and am offering my in-person services in Rio. I have a master's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester and have taught many students of varying ability in one-on-one settings as well as running ‘catch-up’ classes with students struggling in their studies.

Sou muito apaixonado por idiomas e por aprender. No ano passado tenho aprendido espanhol e português através de viagens e adorei cada passo do caminho. Também aprendi árabe quando era mais jovem e a experiência dos três me permite compreender o processo de aprendizagem ao abordar um novo idioma.

Meu objetivo é primeiro inspirar uma paixão pelo aprendizado e, em seguida, conduzir os alunos ao longo do caminho para a compreensão do funcionamento interno da linguagem, para que possam desenvolver sua própria “mente inglesa” e logo se comunicarem com fluidez!


Sou professor de inglês nativo da Inglaterra e ofereço meus serviços presenciais no Rio. Tenho mestrado em Engenharia Química pela Universidade de Manchester e ensinei muitos alunos de habilidades variadas em ambientes individuais, além de dar aulas de atualização com alunos com dificuldades nos estudos.
