Hi! My name is Marlize. I am a native/bilingual speaker from Cape Town, South Africa.
I also speak French (working proficiency) and am currently improving my Arabic too.
I have gained 15 years experience in the industry in London, Cape Town and the UAE, and have taught in language and business schools, mainstream schools, and privately onsite.
My students have ranged from Russian civil engineers to 6 year old beginner students to refugees in England.
I graduated from the University of Cape Town with an English Language and Literature major degree, and a professional teaching qualification (post-graduate).
I completed my TEFL certificate with ITTT and IELTS Academic with IDP Australia (8.5 score).
Additionally I've completed a number of professional development courses with Futurelearn and IDP Australia to keep my skills updated. These include Pronunciation skills with Language Fuel New Zealand and Applied Linguists at the University of Leeds.
