Yedan has been helping my 9-year-old with conversational Chinese for almost a year now. Yedan is great. I have taken a few different chinese lessons over the years and always get confused as they drop you into conversation immediately without really understanding how to say words with tones. Yedan flips this on its head and finally we spent a few lessons really understanding tones and how to say things properly. Really liked her lessons.

Yedan has been teaching my 5-year old daughter Chinese for quite a while now. We don’t speak Chinese at home but wanted our daughter to learn the language in a fun and engaging way. Our daughter is always happy to attend her lesson with Yedan. A nice change from the continual complaining when she attended group lessons. We highly recommend Yedan.

A productive and enjoyable first lesson. Tones was explained clearly and as tones was an aspect of Mandarin that concerned me, I now feel confident about learning to use them successfully. Yedan has a pleasant and patient teaching style and employs very practical tools for self-learning away from the lesson.

Yedan is the best tutor ever! My son was getting 10-20% on his weekly Chinese spelling tests and she brought the scores up to consistently over 95%. He is not easy to deal with but she has done an amazing job. Can't recommend her more highly.

Yedan has a systematic way of teaching. She uses the computer, has a virtual Google classroom, and writes down words you're not familiar with into the software which gives its translation and hanyupinyin, for review in the next lesson. Organized and well prepared, she is flexible in her teaching.
