As the founder of a Mandarin school in Melbourne, I've been working as a private mandarin tutor with the since 2018. So far, I've taught more than 80 students with approximately 1,500 teaching hours. My students successfully passed HSK3 (intermediate level) with an average of 294 (out of 300) scores. VCE SL student has received 35.2% out of 40% for SACs.
I'm a graduate student with a Bachelor's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language in China. Afterwards, I completed the Master of Education at Monash University.
I offer a varied range of courses for both kids and adults. Regardless of your age, career and current level, the courses will be tailored to facilitate your needs.
You can have a class online or at my office (CBD). *Travel costs might be charged.
Chinese for Kids (Not accepting new students)
Including Basic Chinese, Chinese Character Recognition and Advanced Chinese. The teaching content covers mainly pinyin, character recognition, listening, reading and writing comprehensive practice.
VCE CSL Program (Not accepting new students)
The VCE CSL Program is designed for students who want to participate in VCE Chinese Second Language. The course is divided into specific training in listening, speaking, reading and writing, together with the previous sample assessments of the VCE exams, to provide students with systematic training in exam techniques.
Spoken Chinese
This is designed for students who would like to boost their oral Chinese skills. The course utilised the task-based language learning pedagogy that embeds the real-world communication task into the classroom settings to facilitate daily communication needs.
HSK Preparation
The Preparation course equips the learners with a comprehensive and systematic tutorial so as to enable them to receive satisfying results. In addition to the regular HSK test instructions, a wide range of topics are covered, as well as vocabulary and grammar from everyday life to academic life.
Business Chinese
The Business Chinese course is designed for learners who need to communicate formally in the workplace. Students should have the ability to communicate on a daily basis and an understanding of Chinese society and culture so that they can communicate professionally and naturally in a formal setting.
Part-time Group Chinese Course for adults (zero-beginner only)
Students will be grouped by level and availability, while the task-based language teaching approach would be employed to practice listening and speaking skills. The group size (3 to 6 people) is small enough to ensure every student has a chance to practice and achieve the learning target in a limited time.
