English and Cebuano Teacher

I am teacher Lenny, 25 years old, from Leyte, Philippines. I am a lively, dedicated and accomplished teacher with a passion for education. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Family Arts and Entrepreneurship from Leyte Normal University in Tacloban City.
While in college, I achieved consistent honors in my classes and various school organizations. I have held the positions of Public Information Officer (P.I.O), Secretary, Treasurer, and President. These roles allowed me to develop leadership and organizational skills that enhanced my overall college experience. In addition, I gained valuable work experience for two and a half years at a call center company interacting with international customers. I excelled in this position and was recognized as a top performer in my department, further honing my communication and customer service skills.
In the teaching field, I gained a year of online teaching experience at companies such as Acadsoc and JP-Network ESL. I specialize in teaching English to students from China and Japan, ranging in age from 5 to 40 years old, some of whom are professionals themselves. To improve my teaching qualifications, I completed a TEFL course last August and received the TEFL Professional Academy-Teacher Record Certificate.

My teaching methods revolve around ensuring that my students not only learn how to read effectively, but also understand and interpret what they read. I stress the importance of providing plenty of examples to ensure students thoroughly grasp the content. Afterwards, I engage students in activities that help assess their learning while making the learning process in the classroom fun and interactive.
