I grew up in Punjab, Pakistan where up until grade 10 I studied all the subjects in the Urdu language. Urdu poetry has always fascinated me. I Would love to help someone who wants to learn Urdu.
The beauty of the Urdu language is in its sound. Historically, Urdu is probably the only language that has had a lot of work done on its sound rather than what things mean. Urdu has a lot of words from different languages. The word 'Sherbet' from English sounds and means the same in Urdu.
I think we will have fun learning Urdu.
It is pretty easy these days because a lot of Urdu speaking people have moved to Darwin in past 5 years and it always helps when you can actually talk to people.
No, Its like any other language. Just takes the will to learn.
