I am a senior university student here in Istanbul, studying at one of the top universities in Turkey. I have various experiences with different languages and cultures. I was born and raised in Germany. I have short-lived and studied in the Netherlands during my sophomore year. I am currently learning Korean. All these language learning experiences helped me to develop a teaching method that is friendly to any level and any background. Based on the student's needs, I flexibly adapt my method. Learning the language in the place it is spoken, definitely makes the process easier and fun.
Honestly, Turkish is not the easiest language but learning it while living with the language makes it a lot more easier. The more you use it, the easier it comes. With practice I would say it is 6/10 hard on a scale ;)
It depends on the student but approximately it takes no more that 2 months to speak with locals on basic topics. In 4-6 month, you will be able to speak an intermediate level for sure.
