I am a 23 years-old English Teacher who is currently living in Istanbul. I have graduated from Bilgi University and I already have a couple of students whom I teach English. I also wanted to take a chance to teach my native language which is Turkish because it is such an interesting and beautiful language. In my lesson as an English Teacher, I try to keep the lesson student-centered and practice lots of speaking. Thus, I will be following the same technique in Turkish lessons as well since it is very helpful and encouraging for students.
The easiest way to learn Turkish is to live in the culture or at least try to understand the culture. Other than that constant practice of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
If a student is willing to learn Turkish and shows effort, then the student can be competent in 4 to 6 months. Though a more advanced level of Turkish would require more practice.
