I have studied "Korean language and literature" at the university and "Korean Language Education" in graduate school. I have a Master Degree in Korean Language Education as well as the first grade of Korean Language Education Certificate. I have rich experience of teaching the Korean Language as I have taught many students at various language institutions in Singapore for over 6 years. I have been taking Korean lessons with 선생님 Yang Hee for more than 3 months now. She is very experienced and knowledgeable and her lessons are effective, engaging and fun. When I first started lesson, I wasn’t even sure if I will be able to go beyond 5 lessons, after all learning a new language as a working adult is not easy and quite challenging (at least for me). Tutor Koo has a pleasant personality that makes the learning process enjoyable, not stressful and fruitful. She is experienced and very patient with me even though I am a slow learner. I also noticed that she worked diligently to stretch the learning according to my ability. The achievement from each lesson definitely out pace those I have experienced in class.

Tutor Yang hee is effective by catering her lessons to your learning style so that you can benefit as much as possible. She listens carefully to your personal experiences and helps you apply theory into daily life scenarios. Her lessons are practical yet easy to understand! Great for non-beginners too! :-)

Tutor Koo is very experienced and proficient at teaching Korean language! She teaches a lot more useful materials beyond just the textbook. She’s also very patient and answers my questions clearly. She makes it very easy to learn and she lets me practice a lot, so it’s possible for me to learn a lot from zero experience in the language within a short period of time. I highly recommend her!

Speaking a language fluently and knowing how to teach it are two completely different matters and I chose Yang Hee because she holds the Korean Language Education Certificate. I've not been disappointed as the lessons are structured, easy to understand and Yang Hee is always patient and encouraging. I strongly recommend her as your private tutor in learning Korean.

Tutor Yang Hee is great at teaching! She makes the lessons engaging by using a lot of examples that I can personally relate to. Previously, I was learning korean at a school, and I often find myself not knowing how to apply what I learnt. However, with tutor Yang Hee, she explains and clarifies my doubts with me in a way I can understand, absorb and apply to daily conversations in Korean. And she makes it fun too! I really enjoy every lesson with tutor Yang Hee! :)

My Korean has improved so much after just two lessons (I had 16 group lessons before) she is happy to go at your speed, and can always explain clearly all of my questions. I highly recommend her!

Tutor Koo is great- highly effecient in teaching, uses useful teaching tools/ placecards, encourages students to have frequent verbal conversations and practies in-class which makes things much more efficient for the student to remember. Would highly recommend.
