Q: How easy is it to learn Japanese?
A: Vocabulary would be easier for Chinese Singaporeans due to reliance on Kanji/Hanzi, which act as pictures for ease of memory retention. However, grammar is the complete opposite of English & Chinese, which usually requires guidance.
Q: What is my teaching method?
A: I like to explain a particular grammatical point first and then make my students conjure all sorts of creative sentences. I believe that active learning accelerates progress a lot more than one-way passive learning.
