My name is Fabio and I grew up in different areas of Italy. Italian is my mother tongue and I practice it daily even when abroad.
I started my teaching career by chance thanks to my girlfriend, who is not Italian, and was amazed by the Italian language. Thus, she asked me to help her study it.
As of now, I helped 3 people improving their Italian skills and successfully achieving their goals.
Writing and talking in a very precise/high-level Italian is not easy and takes years of practice, but the most common structure/words can be learned in as little as a few months.
Clearly, the purpose of the whole process is crucial: learning Italian to go on vacation to Puglia will not have the same goals of learning Italian to pass an official exam!
Please, get in contact with me no matter what your level of Italian is and no matter what the purpose of the session is: we could talk before an exam to help you feel more comfortable, discuss potential issues in writing/reading, practice some listening activities, or simply talk to help you understanding if a proper time/money invested in learning Italian is right for you!
Due to the latin component, Italian may be initially challenging for Dutch people who instead speak a Germanic language. Nonetheless, while knowing Spanish or Portuguese could prove useful, it is absolutely not necessary to comfortably talk in italian after a few months of practice.
As for every language, mother tongues are the best way to speed up learning a language.
