I am a Hungarian leaving in Prague since 2013. Till recently I was working as a molecular cell biologist, I gained my Ph.D in Hungary 10 years ago. I am a creative and positively minded person, have a pleasant demeanour and enjoy working with people. I like new challenges (like teaching Hungarian :)) I like to meet new people, get involved in interesting conversations about almost any topic. Being Hungarian and having a kindergarten aged daughter gives me the possibility not only to teach this beautiful language, but also to borrow you books that cover many areas from children books to science and art :)
Since Hungarian does not belong to a big language family like Latin or Slavic languages (its a finnugor language) its not easy to learn and the grammar is quite difficult.
Depends on the background of the person whom is willing to learn. I speak Romanian, Italian and very basic Czech and Ukrainian, therefore I could guide people with different language backgrounds. I would say that with hard work amd few times a week 1 year would be sufficient for simple conversation
