I'm a student from India at Trinity College Dublin. My mother-tongue is Marathi but I speak English, Hindi and Dutch as well. Having travelled widely across India, I know the scripts of various regional languages of India - Tamil, Kannada, Bengali to name a few.
I studies Hindi as part of my school curriculum up to the 10th grade and used it on a daily basis while living in India. I hold an IELTS band of 8.0 and will be highly comfortable in teaching Hindi through English medium. Because Hindi script is easy to learn, I can help the student master the written aspect within a short span of time. This will be particularly useful for tourists wanting to visit India.
Looking forward to teaching this wonderful language here in Dublin.
Learning from a native is the best way. That will make it easier to learn the language found in textbooks as well as the one used in day-to-day communication.
Not so much. The script is relatively easy and so is the grammar. There is a sizeable Marathi-speaking diaspora in Dublin, and attending one of their gatherings will be highly beneficial.
