I am a stay at home mother to 3 beautiful boys. Prior to my children I used to be a hotel manager, after my first child I left the hotel industry and worked at the Berlitz language and learning center. After my second child, I worked as a Kindergarten teacher. After my last child (who is now 6 years old), I started tutoring German. I am keen to teach German a few hours a week. The great thing about the German language is that you speak as you write it, I have realized that the English language can be a lot harder that way. The German language also gives you a lot of opportunities to travel, since it is spoken in so many countries. I am well traveled, I have lived in 8 different countries, from Switzerland all the way down to New Zealand. I love traveling and meeting new people whilst learning new cultures.
I would recommend that anyone who wants to learn German, practice with a German speaker. And that he/she uses a variety of resources, whether it’s books, CDs, DVDs or TV and the internet.
It can be difficult to learn a language in a country if it is not the native language, but with time and commitment anything is achievable.
