Learning German, any language, is best done by talking, talking and talking. Then reading and watching movies/TV in that particular language. It’s essential to not to dwell too much on the grammar, but to try to express yourself in order to obtain a feeling for the language. And instead of trying to find the exact translation of each word, try to grasp the meaning of the context.
Get some German books, switch to movies in German and find someone to talk to in German.
