Hey there! Bonjour à toi!
Nice to meet you!
I'm a 25 y.o. female from Quebec, the only French region in all North America (Canada, USA, and Mexico). Our English is pretty basic if we never leave the state, as 85% of our population speak only French. I have traveled, so my English is really good, don't worry.
Starting with the basics; no, French's not an easy language... Unfortunately, it has a lot of exceptions in the language, which can make it pretty overwhelming; even people talking French can be messed up sometimes, so don't be too hard with yourself.
I don't have any official certification in the teaching field, as I believe the school of Life is one of the best to learn... I still have a diploma higher than High School; we do things a bit differently in my state, so it's not a bachelor's one, if for the school before University...like french language, we love putting more steps than needed.
I teach some basics since we're on the road, my partner and I, around New Zealand (since January 2020). And now we're here, in Australia, to continue that and sharing good time, knowledge, and cultural things with the people we meet.
Don't expect to be a good french speaker without work; as it is quite different from English, it will ask a lot of work, time, and practice to speak it properly: more to write it.
I have always been excellent in French, writing, and speaking. So, whatever is your goal at the end (just basics talking, writing, ameliorate your knowledge...), I can help you. I'm someone really passionate about life, and I'll give you everything you need to obtain the level you want. If I think I don't have what you need to upgrade, I will gracefully tell you that I'm not the person for what you want, and just redirect you to someone who can help you reach your objectives.
My goal here is to meet and help people before anything else. I can't wait to hear from you!
With internet, it is much more easier to learn something, as soon than you have a good connection. BUT you can learn good and bad stuff up there, so be always carefully about what you read and listen..be sure to go with someone who is really engaged to help you reach your objectives.
French it is not an easy language; a lot of new vocabulary to learn, the pronunciation are difficult for someone who never speak another language than English, the writing rules are awful with all those exceptions... But it is such an amazing and beautiful language tho.
