G'day! I'm Tom from Australia and I've been in Prague for nearly two years now where I'm studying my MA. I'm a native English speaker, B2 level in Italian, and an A2 level in Russian.
With regards to my experience with the English language, it's been best demonstrated in casual and professional settings. I've published in leading think tanks both in Australia and abroad. Here in the Czech Republic I've edited speeches and papers for senior Czech colleagues and drafted reports on behalf of institutions.
I'm passionate about cross-cultural engagement and immersing myself in the local environment. As such, I'm very eager to help you on your journey with the English language!
My Czech is extremely limited, so my services would be most suitable for intermediate to advanced English speakers. Whether it's exam preparation, English grammar, accent coaching, pronunciation, vocabulary, or just general conversation, I'm sure we can have engaging and enjoyable lessons.
It's becoming easier as Prague becomes more cosmopolitan and a popular destination for international students, business and tourists. I think there's never been an easier nor better time to learn English in Prague!
The grammar is obviously the focal point of any language so I think getting a solid understanding of that first will hold you in great stead. From then, immersion in the language wherever possible is the best way to learn. Make sure you keep pushing yourself and don't be afraid to make a mistake!
