I put tremendous effort and passion into helping learners see the fun of achieving high goals in language learning.
My experiences in Hong Kong include playgroups, local kindergartens, international kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, international baccalaureate schools, learning centers, business English and Spanish in groups, and a variety of one-on-one situations. I began teaching English as a second language when I was 19 in Valencia, Spain. I enjoyed it so I stayed for two years. When I returned to the United States, I taught English as a second language and Spanish. I have taught for twelve years as of September of 2019.
I have a strong record of helping English language learners to earn high marks at the primary and secondary levels.
Even though I was born into a very musical family, I can only help instrumental music students who play the saxophone. I am very comfortable with teaching people how to read music too.
My current students are from many different educational and business situations. Here are a few of them.
Del Monte Foods, Society of the Divine Word, ESF Discovery College, Nord Anglia, Saint Paul's College Primary School, Zenith International Kindergarten, and Nobel International Kindergarten
I completed the subtitles for a film recently. The trailer is here if you are curious about it.

My masters degree is from the University of the Rockies in the United States. My English as a Foreign Language Masters Certificate is complete with high honors. I am endorsed in business English and early childhood education.
Learning English Hong Kong is as easy as any other goal. Becoming proficient in English is a journey that requires time and commitment. Assistance is easy. Meeting with teachers privately may be easy. Manifesting the desire to be great is something people can develop with the help of a caring tutor. Indeed, something is probably wrong if someone feels as if she or he is learning easily. There are certainly individuals with a special talent for acquiring language.
English can be learned in difficult ways and easy ways for mature populations. Coincidentally, the difficult methods make the language easy to learn. This is the paradox of learning second, third, and fourth languages. Find someone you trust. The person does not need to know English. Begin a conversation about commitment and the journey. For younger learners, English is as easy as the instructor's passion. Clever instructors know what atmosphere must be created to spark more long-term memories from class. For example, people remember so much when they have a good time. The positive emotion brings more memories from short-term to long-term. This is true for adults as well.
