Hi! My name is Rachel.
I have 10+ years of teaching, my speciality is English (pronunciation, enunciate, grammar, speaking and writing), and primary and secondary Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
I grew up in Singapore, graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Second Class Upper Honours) from the National Of University of Singapore. I worked in both Australia and the United States for more than 10 years and have just returned to Singapore. I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts. I have also worked as a senior editor with a reputable education publisher in Singapore in English and Science, producing textbook contents to primary and secondary school students in Singapore.
I believe arming yourself with a good command of English is key to mastering other subjects and specialities, in addition to making your daily communication easy and effective.
I have always enjoyed teaching and empowering the next generation. I believe this process can be made engaging and fun for the students, which makes the learning journey even more effective.

How much time does it take to learn English in Singapore?
This depends at your starting level.
A beginner can learn English in a year. And that is pretty fast! I would say, a year is the average amount of time it will take a student to become fluent and become confident to work in English.
