Hello everyone :)
I am a New Yorker based in Prague, Czechia. I focus on adult students. My instruction starts on a foundation of grammar, with a thick layer of conversation practice centered around short text, topic vocabulary, multimedia.
I enjoy engaging my clients by creating customized material to match my students' interests and needs.
I am curious by nature and have many interests: art, politics, history, psychology, economics, technology, cats.
My philosophy is that you don't have to be a master speaker, you just need to enjoy speaking the language and feel CONFIDENT! Remember, English, like any language, is a tool to get what you want and need, and it's ok if it is imperfect on the edges. My goal is to get you speaking confidently as much as possible in REAL English.
I have a Bachelor's degree in psychology and philosophy. I also hold a TEFL certificate for teaching English.
with a motivated skilled tutor of course :-)
I learned to speak Czech, and English is much easier grammatically. So yes, it is easy to learn. English speakers are very forgiving of mistakes because we are used to different people speaking English with their own style, so we are not as judgemental as you may think :)
