I believe that every day is a chance to learn something new. Before becoming a teacher I was in publishing: for instance, I worked on books written by academics from around the world, beautifully illustrated storybooks and also school textbooks. Then I became the Editor of a kids’ wildlife and culture magazine. Since becoming an EFL teacher, language and communication – which has always been an integral part of my work – has taken on new meaning and importance. I take pride in making my lessons interesting and interactive. Naturally, I continue to learn through my work, the people I meet and the wonderful city I live in.
I have a 120-hour TEFL certificate from the University of Cape Town, and a Bachelor’s degree. My second language is French.
