I am Paola. I've spent more than 12 years studying in English, from primary three up to now. My mother tongue is Kinyarwanda but I've been speaking english since I was a kid because all my study programs were in english. I used to provide english sessions to my younger sister and taught some english words to my little cousins and I have done the SAT, a standardized test for US universities.
All I can say about english language is that it's not that hard to learn. It's just a matter of getting some lessons and practising.
The easiest way to learn english is by, first, watching shows/movies/cartoons or anything that interests you in english to help you improve your listening skills. Second, try to read english books to improve your reading and start speaking to your friends/tutor to improve your speaking.
It can be done at a personal pace but someone can try 1-2 hours at the beginning and slowly increase their duration accordingly. However, it can be easier if someone had a tutor because they can practice listening, speaking, reading and writing all in just 2 hours.
