I am Alessandra, a Sicilian girl living in Greece and just like many of you I was a student too. Being Italian, I found that learning English was quite difficult, only afterwards I realized that English is an easy language to learn. To reach an advanced level can take up to one year, depending also on how much effort a student put into learning. I found that reading is the first and the easiest step to learn a new language, followed by watching movies with English subtitles and, subsequently, listening to radio or translating songs. I have a degree in Journalism from Dublin Business School and in 2020 I got my CELTA certificate. I have taught to adults from beginner to upper intermediate.
I believe that for French, Spanish, Portuguese speakers Italian is an easy language to learn due to similarities, whereas it is challenging for other nationalities.
I do not think so. Athens is a multicultural city and there are so many Italians with whom is possible to practice the language.
