Hi everyone, I’m here because I want your English goals to feel achievable and enjoyable! Let’s be honest, languages can be overwhelming, and reading multiple grammar books isn’t really anyone’s idea of fun. (I’m currently in Paris, learning French - so I know the pain!) That’s why my mission is to get you engaged with the language, help you set up a regular pattern of learning, (that isn’t boring), and have a bit of a laugh along the way. I am in this with you! I tailor each of my lessons towards your unique goals and interests, as I have found this works best for my students. So let's start this learning journey together!
A little more about me, I was born and raised in Australia. I work as a fashion writer/stylist by day. This work has allowed me to travel and explore my love of language. My jobs have moved me to all different cities, namely London, Sydney, and New York. So I can help you with any particular dialects or informal regional languages you are interested in. As an experienced writer, I am also equipped to help you learn the nitty-gritty, grammatical aspects of the English language.
When my work moved me to Paris and I started learning French I discovered how difficult language learning is. As a result, I became interested in helping those who were trying to learn English in my spare time.
In my classes, I like to create an environment that is light-hearted and a bit of fun. Personally, my French only improved when I could actually relax and let the ideas resonate. In my classes you're allowed to make as many mistakes as you need, the worst that will happen is we’ll have a little laugh and keep on trying.
I have over 3 years of teaching experience. I was a teacher's assistant in London, and I’m currently a private English tutor in Paris. I have taught all age ranges and levels, from kids who are just starting their journey, to adults who want to learn some new slang. I enjoy discussing anything creative or cultural - from art exhibitions to films, to why all Aussies say, mate.
If you'd like to learn in a way that doesn't make the English language feel like such a chore, send me a message now or book a trial. See you soon.
I think it becomes easier when you can connect with some native English speakers - in my experience when you look in the right places you can find quite a lot of Brits/Aussies/Americans.
It's really depend on how much time you can give to the process. Routine is so important and setting yourself goals to reach.
