Private Dutch Tutor in Stockholm and Online

Your casual Dutch teacher, PhD

I have been living in Stockholm for a bit over 4 years and work as a medical researcher at Karolinska Institute. I have subject-specific knowledge but also taught at the high school and university levels as part of my training. I enjoy cooking, sports, travel, and dance. I am comfortable talking about almost any topic.

As a teacher, I want to hear your needs and will make a flexible plan based on our first meeting. I recommend meeting weekly or every 14 days and can give you assignments to practice alone. Looking forward to meeting you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How easy is it to learn Dutch in Stockholm?

There are some Dutch communities, but the best way to learn it is to move there for a while. I can get you to a comfortable B2 level, but from there I recommend living in the Netherlands for a couple of weeks to reinforce the foundations. I can give you some contacts and introduce you to a local social circle.

How much time does it take to learn Dutch in Stockholm?

It highly depends on dedication and language level you want to reach. Swedish is a great basis and with 8 weekly meetings it is possible to get to a comfortable level.
