Hello, my name is Eveline and born and raised in The Netherlands. I love to travel and due to my husband's work we have lived for 9 years in Kenya where I worked as a pre-k teacher at the Netherlands School, 2 years in New Zealand, and since 2018 we live in beautiful South Africa. I love to teach and talk about Dutch culture. With young kids, I learn them Dutch by doing activities, reading books, singing Dutch songs, watch school tv, work with themes, art, and off course workbooks. If they have fun during the lessons they learn faster. I also can teach in small groups with children so that makes going to Dutch class a lot spectacular as they make friends as well.
For children active learning is the best way to learn. For adults it depends on what level you need. If you are motivated everything is possible.
For children they need once a week a lesson and doing also some little homework at home. This can be a worksheet, listening to songs, reading a Dutch book (can be a audio book) or seeing some Dutch programms.
