I am a native-speaking Dane living in Berlin. I can help you with your conversation in Danish or get you started in Danish.
I'm already used to explaining the curiosity of Danish to my German partner.
In my opinion, the speaking part of Danish is quite easy to learn, when you first have gotten the grip of some funny pronouncements of words. We don't use formal or informal speaking, except if you were to meet the Queen.
The written part of Danish is more difficult, as there is a lot of strange pronouncement compared to how it's written.
It depends, the speaking part is easier than the written part, as Danish have a lot of strange pronouncement compared to how it's written.
Again, it depends on what you wish for understanding. If you want to be able to have a conversation, where people will understand you, but still know the language is new to you, I would say 6 to 12 months
