I have experience in teaching the basics of Czech, especially with children and youth. I can also help you improve your skills from basics to intermediate and help you start speaking. I have also experience with preparing a personal study plan, including setting study goals and assessing possible learning paths to fit exactly one's needs. I have gained all my experience thanks to various internships and volunteering in kindergartens and primary schools.
The Czech language is fairly hard to learn, but definitely possible. The added value is that once you understand Czech, you might also understand the basics of other Slavic languages. It's possible to learn and understand the basics of Czech within a couple of months if you're willing to invest some time into it daily. After half a year, it's possible to know enough to have a chat about everyday topics.
I like to combine the teaching of "formal" aspects of Czech (like grammar, formal language, survival phrases, etc.) together with more practical uses including mainly spoken language.
Whenever you have a chance to use Czech, do it! Don't be afraid to practice on your family and friends - it doesn't matter if they don't understand (at least they don't spot the small mistakes you might be making at the beginning).
Depends on how much time you're willing to invest. The easiest way to find out it to start.
