HELLO!! It's Yen Tien here, currently pursuing my Master of Biomedical Engineering at UniMelb. Growing up as a native Mandarin speaker in a multilingual country, Malaysia, I can communicate in Mandarin and English fluently and clearly. Along with my university study, I volunteered as a teaching assistant to help primary school children to learn Mandarin in a Sunday language school. Not only that, I was once hired by parents of a Year 8 student to provide in-home Chinese tutoring as well as homework assistance, and from that, I managed to deliver the content to meet the student's needs. I ensure YOU will love learning Mandarin with me and understand the language better. I can't wait to share my knowledge and the beauty of the language with you all!
A person's interest and motivation to learn Chinese/Mandarin is a huge stepping stone in picking up the language. Next, practice is the key to success. When you practice the language every day and immerse yourself in the learning process, you will definitely observe an improvement.
It is different to everyone and really depends on the person's motivation and goals. Learning Chinese/Mandarin is a marathon. The more practice you take, the shorter time you will take to finish the journey.
