The easiest way to learn Chinese/Mandarin, to begin with, is learning vocabulary that you constantly used in daily life. Once you are familiar with the vocabularies, then it's time for your to try out different sentences in Chinese.
Chinese/Mandarin is not easy to learn in the beginning because Chinese characters are completely different from the alphabet. But once you have a good amount of Chinese characters, then you will be able to understand most vocabularies easily.
