I am currently learning french as my third language (though haven’t made much progress), therefore there may be some techniques I used when learning (English) language can be applied to the teaching to compensate my lack of experience as a teacher. In general, the Chinese language is difficult to learn as it is a language mostly independent of other languages. Chinese characters are logograms, which means the writing system involves a lot of practicing and memorising. But the good thing is as each character has its own meaning, you can easily make people understand you even with your not-so-good spoken Chinese as long as you get the words right.
