I'm an IB graduate student. While waiting to go to University, I'm private tutoring English and Mandarin.
So far, I've been guiding HSK courses for Chinese and, started teaching the basics for beginners in both languages.
I'm good with a variety of age groups: children (around 8 years old and above), teenagers (my juniors at high school), and adults (around 30s).
If you would like to study HSK of any level, you will have to provide the study materials, e.g HSK books.
If you are a beginner or are currently looking to improve in certain skills, then I will be providing the study guide and materials.
It's quite convenient to study Chinese in HCMC because all the districts are quite close together so it's easy to get from place to place. If the student would like to study face to face, I don't think it'll be troublesome to get to meet in person.
I'd say it'll depend on how much time and how devoted you are to pick up the language. Because Chinese comes in characters. So most of the time, it's to repeatedly practice writing the same characters. A lot has to do with memorization.
As for pronunciation, I'll make sure to guide you to get the right tone, as close to a native voice as possible. Normally, it may take 6 hours per week for about 3-4 months for a student to be able to comfortably communicate in the basic sentence structures.
