I’m basically an English teacher but I’ve also taught Arabic for many years in Libya to native and non- native speakers of English. I hold an MA in Applied Linguistics ( teaching English as a subsequent language) from a Canadian university. Also, I’d worked as a translator for a couple of years ( Arabic to English and vida versa) . I’ve tutored a few students in Toronto in the past. I grew up speaking Arabic and I’m a linguist so I am fully aware of how Arabic is learnt, difficulties Arabic learners may be faced with. I put in a lot of effort to help my students reach their goal(s). I also hope to be instrumental in terms of culture , especially if you are planning on studying/ living in an Arabic speaking country.

To be honest, Arabic is not an easy language to learn, yet it is interesting and it can pay off if you are highly motivated and taking it seriously. As someone who taught it to non- Arabic speakers who’ve reached a very remarkable level in a short period of time, I can assure it is possible as long as you are interested, committed, and dedicated to learning and staying focused.
