Hello, I am Freya! I am originally from India and have recently moved to the US (from Singapore) to pursue my Masters degree in Public Health. Hindi is my mother tongue and a language I am proud of. I graduated high school with a Bilingual Diploma in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. I studied Hindia A: Language and Literature and received a 7 (highest score band) in IB. I am a kind and passionate teacher with good experience. I have been volunteering as a teacher in my community since I was 16 years old and love working with students to create a fun and flexible environment which suits their needs. I have been tutoring in Singapore for the last three years. Most recently, I tutored two primary school students in spoken and written Hindi. Before that, I taught English at an ESL level to a Grade 5 student. The student was on the Autism spectrum and had mild learning difficulties. The time, effort, and full support that I offered him raised his English from a Grade 3 to a Grade 4 level and is a testament to my love for tutoring. For primary school students, I make my teaching style very fun which is full of games and practical experience in using the language. I am very comfortable adapting my teaching style and resources as per the student's needs and ensure that I am always giving my full support to the best of my capabilities. I also have extensive experience working with children who are on the Autism Spectrum and who have ADHD and am trained in molding my sessions to cater to their needs. I look forward to tutoring Hindi and helping someone embrace the language I love and admire.
