I live in Melbourne and am fluent in both English and Persian. I have been teaching my native language for 6 years now not because I am a native speaker but because I know how to teach it! It's not enough to be a native to teach your own language as you need to know structure of the language very well first and second have a teaching method to understand how people from other backgrounds can learn it easier. Language sounds like a building which words are its bricks and grammar acts like mortar which sticks those bricks together. I won't try to teach you too much about bricks (which you need to learn yourself anyway in your language journey) but I teach you how to quickly stick those bricks together and build your own building! I prefer teaching in a group as you will have this opportunity to practise with others and see others mistakes as well as yours :) so our class will be online or alternatively face to face in East Doncaster College if you live here in Melbourne. First written evidence of Persian (the Old Persian) is from approximately 4000 years ago (Zorastrian religious writings) Persian and its branches are still widely spoken in many parts of the world (mostly in Asia) and it has almost 180 million first and second language speakers, and also it has affected many other languages and there are many loan words from Persian in other languages from Turkish and Arabic to English. My lessons are based on standard conversational (informal) Persian spoken by mainly the middle-class educated people in Iran. I teach in three beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels: The beginner level is mostly focused on basic grammar and vocabulary and you will learn to make simple sentences and handle basic conversations. In the intermediate and advanced levels, you will gradually learn more vocabulary, will make more sophisticated sentences and will be more confident in communication in Farsi.
