Hey there! My name's Antonio and I'm a 25-year-old Mexican English Teacher. That's right! I studied English Teaching Major at UNAM, the biggest university in Latin America, and I graduated from my major in 2020. I've been teaching since 2017, and throughout these years, I've experienced and applied what I learned in my major, and also what I've learned while being in the classroom. During the 2020 pandemic, I decided to set up an online tutoring service, and while 90% of my students are learning English with me, I'm also passionate about teaching Spanish to those who are interested in learning this beautiful language. I'm fluent since it's my mother tongue, but I take it up a notch offering a full course on Mexican culture, which has captivated many of the students I've had from all around the world. Don't think too much about it and send me a message! I'm sure you'll find my classes enriching and my methodology clear and logical. Thanks for reading.
As a language enthusiast myself, I'd say the best way to learn any language is through immersion. Getting nose-deep into the culture, experiencing the food, talking to the native people, partaking in tours, and of course, practicing the language in real and meaningful conversations.
I'd say it can be difficult when there aren't enough tools to embark on the learning process. Mexico City is one of the biggest cities in the world, and as such, it comes off as an intimidating place. Many foreigners also feel quite isolated even when they are surrounded by a lot of people. Remember that the language barrier hinders approaching to the people and therefore to the culture. I'd love to guide you through your learning process and to show you some of my favorite spots in the city!
