Salut everyone,
My name is Karsh and I am an experienced language teacher. I work full-time in a K-8 school where I teach Core French and IB French.
I have 2 years of experience teaching foreign languages namely English and French. During this period, I taught 1) French as a Second Language (FSL) and 2) English as a Second Language (ESL).
What makes me unique as a language teacher:
1. I teach French to both native and non-native speakers.
2. I teach English to both native and non-native speakers.
3. I teach both languages to students between the ages of 4-50 years.
Given my experience working with such a diverse body of students, I am competent in adapting my teaching techniques according to the age, grade, and proficiency level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) of the student.
The easiest way to learn English in Toronto:
1. Watch content (movies, TV shows) that you like in English.
2. Make friends with native speakers to regularly practice your English.
3. Join an activity-based group that involves a lot of conversation in English.
While some students find English easy to learn, others are able to learn it with ease. It all depends on:
1. What language(s) you already speak.
In general, the closer your native language is to English, the easier it is to learn it. For example, a student who only speaks Spanish/Italian/French will find it much easier to learn English than a student who only speaks Turkish/Korean/Arabic.
2. How regularly a student practices their English
When it comes to language acquisition, the golden rule is "if you don't use it, you lose it". If With regularity and consistency, any skill eventually becomes second nature.
